"can we do that here " Hell yeah! And we should have and could have been doing it for a couple of decades now! Just like most pickup trucks on the road can get over 15% better gas mileage. Just think what another 15% better gas mileage would do to bring down the price of oil, gas and diesel!

I'm curious- your comment regarding the gulf oil rig explosion and oil leak...... "it was probably caused by the greenies".... was that sarcasm or a serious comment?

fcdriver, Not to be contrary, but oil is being produced in molten Fumaroles deep in the Ocean Floor. Deep diving bathyspheres found petroleum products bubbling up out of fissures 20000 feet deep. Tremendous heat and pressure is actually cracking the molten minerals into liquid crude oil. Then the newly formed oil under pressure seeps through cracks and fissures in the crust up into sandstone voids we call oil fields. Texas fields that were pumped empty back in the 70's and capped have been reopened and found tobe refilling and contain oil. So the earth is renewing itself as we speak
